Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lifestyle Department Associate to join our team at Marukai Corp. As a key member of our retail sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales goals of our Lifestyle Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide premier customer service, including greeting customers and responding to their questions, engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques, and meeting or exceeding department sales goals.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the Lifestyle Department, by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, storage areas, and selling floors, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and stock Lifestyle display areas per store layouts, planograms, and standards, and ensure that all Lifestyle products are properly handled, stocked, rotated, and merchandised.
  • Merchandising: Set up and maintain the condition of the Lifestyle Department, including breaking down pallets, separating Lifestyle products for sales floor or back room prep areas, processing and/or wrapping Lifestyle products, and maintaining a well-organized back stock/work area.
  • Teamwork: Support other departments as needed, including cross-training in other areas of the store, and work collaboratively with store management, associates, and suppliers/vendors to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Age: Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds, or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.
  • Experience: No experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems, interpret, understand, and follow instructions, effectively communicate and respond to questions from the general public and management, and interact with all levels of management.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid, operate pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor, and scrub machine, and possess a food handling license or the ability to acquire one.
