Job Description

At Assure Fertility Partners of San Antonio, we are dedicated to providing exceptional fertility care services to our patients. As a key member of our team, the Charge Entry Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our billing and claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation Review: Conduct thorough reviews of medical documentation to accurately assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for claim creation.
  • Billing Data Entry: Enter accurate billing data, including CPT and ICD-10 codes, to create medical claims and post self-pay charges to patient accounts.
  • Claim Creation: Prepare electronic claim files for submission to the clearing house on a daily basis.
  • Clearing House Management: Monitor accepted and rejected claims at the clearing house level, making necessary corrections to reprocess rejected claims in a timely manner.
  • Month-End Reconciliation: Compare transaction reports with daily schedules to ensure timely billing of all services provided each month.
  • Account Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information on our system, following established procedures to ensure proper account status at all times.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of work experience in a related field, with medical coding certification or equivalent experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
