The role of the Senior IT Business Analyst involves acting as a crucial link between the IT division and various business service lines. This position is integral in delivering application configuration support aimed at improving operational efficiencies and workflow requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Oversee significant enterprise applications and additional systems as designated, ensuring peak performance and user satisfaction.
    • Facilitate the design and enhancement of business workflows in partnership with business units.
    • Provide mentorship to Application Analysts to boost efficiencies, address intricate workflow challenges, and incorporate quality initiatives.
    • Identify complex testing scenarios and create detailed test scripts.
    • Assess testing outcomes to guarantee precision and effectiveness.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of departmental business processes and their interactions with applications.
    • Take ownership of specific application functionalities and processes.
    • Oversee all facets of configuration, testing, and communication related to these functionalities/processes.
    • Independently troubleshoot and resolve application issues, showcasing problem-solving abilities and technical expertise.
    • Generate and sustain custom reports, utilizing industry-standard reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
    • Ensure reports align with user requirements and quality benchmarks.
    • Manage components of application upgrades, including testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support efforts.
    • Assist and troubleshoot inbound and outbound interfaces as necessary.
    • Create essential reports and effectively manage problem tickets to resolve issues.


Education Requirements

  • High School Equivalent / GED Required and
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting applications Required and
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is highly desired.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience constructing Hospital Billing and Professional Billing general ledgers in Epic and will be familiar with collaborating with Accounting and Finance teams.
  • Experience with business applications such as: Patient Scheduling systems, Hospital or Physician Revenue Cycle systems, Data Warehousing, SQL Server/SSIS, Enterprise Scanning and workflow management Applications, Bed Management Applications, and Finance Applications Required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge and experience with SQL-based applications.
  • Understanding of LAN, DNS, and networking.
  • Ability to work with servers and implement software upgrades.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup protocols.
  • Knowledge and experience with HL7 Interfaces.
