Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all unit functions during their designated shift.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient operations and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.- Support facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.- Support inventory management and assist with supplies and equipment oversight.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute RN experience required.
Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility providing a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics and robotic surgery, with a 24/7 Emergency Department recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. We also offer obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures, alongside a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staffed by specialized providers.
