About the Role

Parkridge East Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Med Surg team. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree and 2 years of Med Surg RN experience required.

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge, providing a full range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics and robotic surgery. Our 24/7 Emergency Department is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. We also offer obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures, as well as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with specialized providers on site at all times.
