Clinical Nurse Coordinator Med Surg

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Parkridge Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse.
- Bachelors Degree.
Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital located near downtown Chattanooga. We offer comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. Our facility features a state-of-the-art neurosurgery program, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
