Solotech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Visual Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the final testing and commissioning of complex AV/UCC and Audio, Video, and Lighting (AVL) systems at client sites.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of AV systems to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Draw redlines, coordinate network infrastructure, and communicate with project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation.
- Test integrated systems, perform troubleshooting, and diagnose complex system problems.
- Configure AV networks, coordinate client networks, and field install control programs.
- Write code for DSP systems, make minor programming changes, and fine-tune audio video systems.
- Configure IP addressable devices, establish communication on a network, and perform client training.
- Act as a customer liaison, create and complete project punchlists, and archive configuration and programming files.
- Pre-commission equipment, rack build in the shop, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company driving standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in AV Installation, Commissioning, and Service.
- AVIXA CTS/CTS-I and CQT Certification/s preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Crestron, BIAMP, Extron, and QSC.
- Experience with AV industry software platforms.
- Direct programming experience is a plus.
- Strong Networking skills.
- Excellent communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues.
- Ability to diagnose complex system problems and work independently.
- Advanced PC proficiency and multitasking capabilities.
