**Job Details**

Beaman Buick GMC, a Hudson Automotive Company, is seeking an experienced automotive/transmission technician to join our high-volume service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional service needed and provide an estimate of time required for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Document all work performed on the repair order.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager.
  • Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean and notify the service advisor immediately of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition.
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean.
  • Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management.

**Requirements:**

  • 3-5 years of previous automotive technician experience required.
  • GM experience required.
  • Transmission technician experience required.
  • All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and possess a valid driver's license.
