Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Assistant

Amerapex is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wastewater Treatment Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain water treatment equipment and processes to ensure compliance with client specifications.
  • Retrieve water samples for analysis and maintain accurate records of treatment unit operations.
  • Support routine maintenance and repairs on water treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or equipment malfunctions to minimize disruption to the water treatment process.
  • Study and learn more about water treatment technology and regulations to ensure continuous improvement in plant operations.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in water treatment operations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment practices, methods, and related equipment.
  • Ability to pass a red and green color blindness test.
Work Environment:

Worker is exposed to outdoor weather conditions, extreme noise, odors, heights, dust, and hazardous materials.

Essential Physical Activities:

  • Walking, lifting, hearing, seeing up close, pushing, talking, standing, finger movement, depth perception.
  • Typical weight handled: up to 50 lbs.
