Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Identity Access Management (IAM) Architect is tasked with the design, development, implementation, and enhancement of access management solutions for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, Single Sign-On (SSO), Federation, Directory Services, Multifactor Authentication, and Web Access Management.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead the collection of business, functional, and technical requirements for establishing an Okta Identity platform.
  • Collaborate with clients to document common technical and functional requirements for tailored solutions.
  • Convert requirements into designs while providing technical leadership and oversight.
  • Assist in creating project plans for the development and implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Formulate strategic plans for identity services, including transition strategies and positioning strategies.
  • Establish IAM technical standards for interoperability across various vendor solutions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to effectively package and market services.
  • Conduct periodic customer health checks and project reviews.
  • Implement and support Okta's cloud technologies within the IAM environment.
  • Oversee application integration into SSO, federation, web access management, and directory service environments.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive access management integration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently during migration and onboarding activities.
  • Support technical integration needs that facilitate connectivity between SSO, directory, and provisioning tools.
  • Collaborate with the Access Management Solutions Lead to validate integration needs with proposed technical solutions.
  • Ensure successful transition of support and knowledge of new application integrations to the operations team.
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of IAM, operational, and security technologies to lead the analysis, design, and deployment of IAM architecture, proactively identifying and mitigating organizational risks.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Security, or 5 years of experience in Information Security in lieu of a degree.
  • Hands-on experience integrating applications with Okta SSO, MFA, and API Management is essential.
  • Experience migrating legacy header-based applications to modern authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Okta, Oracle Unified Directory, and CA Siteminder/SSO, including implementation and administration.
  • Familiarity with IAM-related protocols such as SAML, SCIM, OpenID, and OAuth.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture and technical design, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Authentication and Access Management Services.
