Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Biomedical Electronics Technician to join our team at Washington Hospital Healthcare System. As a key member of our Biomedical Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical equipment throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of biomedical technicians in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to identify and resolve equipment-related issues
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain documentation of equipment maintenance and repair activities
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Associate degree or certification equivalent in electronics
  • CBET certification within 3 years of hire and maintained
  • 3 years experience as a biomedical engineering technician, with 3 years experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
