Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Neuralink. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing our R1 Surgical Robot, a cutting-edge device used to support the implantation of our N1 brain-computer interface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and assemble the R1 Surgical Robot, ensuring high-quality and precision in every component
  • Collaborate with our team to design, build, and maintain the R1 Surgical Robot, transforming our R&D process into a high-quality, FDA-compliant production environment
  • Perform troubleshooting, automation, data analysis, process improvement, and design/build new fixtures to drive efficiency and quality
  • Assemble surgical robotic devices and systems, completing manufacturing and maintenance records of your assemblies
  • Disassemble and reassemble robots or equipment to make repairs, such as replacing defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and motors
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, applying basic electronics, mechanical, optics, and software knowledge
  • Assist in maintaining and auditing production inventory, maintaining operation records, and working with engineering to evaluate and implement work instructions and process improvements
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a builder in a controlled manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes for prototypes and production versions of products
  • Ability to interpret, distill, and disseminate relevant technical information
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable; no task is too big or too small
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work in a medical device regulatory environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering technical field, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or biomedical
  • Experience with solid 3-D modeling (such as Solidworks)
