Job Description

Rees Scientific Corporati is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Technician to join our team. As a Senior Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, calibrating, maintaining, and validating monitoring equipment and instrumentation used in the healthcare and medical research field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install technical equipment in medical and research facilities.
  • Inspect, repair, calibrate, maintain, and validate electrical, mechanical, and network equipment following manufacturers' specifications, using test and analysis instruments.
  • Maintain inventory of parts issued.
  • Modify or develop instruments or devices, under supervision of the engineering staff.
  • Conduct training on correct operation of equipment to customers.
  • Organize installations of systems according to the engineer and project manager specifications.
  • Serve as Lead on specific installation assignments.
  • Work as salesperson or service technician for the company to the customer.
  • Study technical manuals and attend training sessions provided to maintain current knowledge.
  • Ability to operate company or personal vehicle to travel to assignments.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% to 80% of the time, including trips up to three weeks at a time.
  • Must have a current driver's license and valid insurance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises four to 10 non-supervisory employees on the work site and responsibilities are to be in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; and government regulations, technical procedures, and professional journals. Ability to write complex reports, procedure manuals, and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively, present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagrams, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Manufacturing software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software; Object-Relational Database (ORD) and Structured Query Language.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five to six year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, specifically in security HVAC, electrical, and network systems.
