Key Responsibilities:

Legal Proficiency: Focus on a comprehensive range of employee-related laws and regulations, encompassing anti-discrimination, wage laws, leave of absence policies, and workforce reductions.
Labor Relations Expertise: Offer specialized guidance and advice on labor relations, including leading negotiations with unions.
Training & Compliance: Provide training and legal advice to ensure adherence to labor and employment laws and internal policies.
Contract Oversight: Review and draft various employment-related contracts and agreements.
Litigation & Representation: Represent the organization (or oversee external counsel) in litigation, mediations, labor arbitrations, and before various administrative bodies.
Policy Formulation: Develop and draft employment-related policies and procedures.
Investigative Support: Advise on or conduct internal investigations to uphold legal and ethical standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law institution.
  • A minimum of 12 years of licensed practice in U.S. labor and employment law.
  • Extensive experience in traditional labor law.
  • Active member in good standing with the relevant Bar association.
Desired Attributes:
  • Demonstrated experience advising multinational corporations on labor and employment issues, either as in-house counsel or in a law firm setting.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and the ability to analyze complex situations.
