Job Summary

The Associate Vice President of Land Conservation will lead Trust for Public Land's mission delivery in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. This role will oversee land protection, park design and development, community schoolyard creation, trail creation, community engagement, parks planning, and public financing for parks and conservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve mission delivery goals
  • Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Manage and mentor field staff, collaborate with national experts, and work with public agencies and non-profit partners
  • Enhance TPL's visibility and build relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in outdoor access/recreation, park/trail creation, and/or land and wildlife conservation
  • At least 8 years of relevant non-profit work experience, including 5 years of staff management experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with underserved communities and interfacing with diverse groups
  • Extensive experience working with fundraisers and securing funding from public and private sources
