About the Role:

As a Coding and Medical Services Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient records and medical coding. You will oversee a team of coders and medical record specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of coders and medical record specialists, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate and complete patient records, including documentation and coding standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of medical records and coding, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient care, including communication and education.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve operations and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical coding or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Estimated Salary Range:$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year.
