Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HEDIS Coder/Abstractor to join our team at PSG Global Solutions Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records, documenting clinical data, and extracting relevant details for HEDIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

* Review medical records and document clinical data for HEDIS reporting.
* Extract relevant details and data from clinical documentation.
* Utilize resources and reference materials to identify appropriate medical codes.
* Apply understanding of relevant medical coding subject areas.
* Interpret clinical documentation and identify applicable medical codes.
* Generate queries to obtain additional information when documentation is unclear or incomplete.
* Follow up with providers as necessary.
* Utilize medical coding software programs or reference materials.
* Read and interpret medical coding rules and guidelines.
* Ensure medical record collection, review, and abstractions are complete and compliant.

Requirements

* Ability to apply post-query response to make final determinations.
* Skill to make determinations on medical charting and take initiative to complete reviews independently.
* Knowledge of relevant Medical Coding Reference, Federal, State, and Professional guidelines.
* Ability to record information, analyze data, or communicate with others.
* Skill to navigate across clinical software applications to assign medical codes or complete reviews.
