We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Mammography Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Travel Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting.
Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality mammography procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
- Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exam is performed, and establish rapport.
- Instruct patients and/or families regarding the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam.
- Prepare patients or areas for mammography procedures by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
- Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment and report issues to management or appropriate departments.
- Obtain, verify, and maintain relevant documentation, such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions taken.
- Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
- BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech (Certified Mammography Tech).
- Competitive pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
