Job Title: Travel Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Mammography Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Travel Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality mammography procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exams are performed, and establish rapport.
  • Instruct patients and/or families regarding the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam.
  • Prepare patients or areas for mammography procedures by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment and report issues to management or appropriate departments.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain relevant documentation, such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions taken.
Requirements:
  • Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech (Certified Mammography Tech).
