Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative II to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving their inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality service to customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Claims Processing: Process and resolve medical claims in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that customers receive the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing, to resolve their issues and provide them with the information they need.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues to management as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve customer service goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a call center environment handling high-volume calls required.
  • Skills: Proven experience in providing excellent service to customers in various healthcare-related areas, poise under pressure when dealing with difficult situations and potentially upset customers.
