POSITION SUMMARY

The selected candidate will lead the manufacturing engineering division and supervise the formulation and execution of manufacturing methodologies to ensure optimal product performance and cost-effectiveness.

This role requires a strategic blend of sophisticated analytical skills, experimental approaches, and leadership capabilities. The candidate will engage in a collaborative team setting, working closely with various engineering departments.

  • Facilitate the execution of the comprehensive manufacturing strategy and spearhead technical implementation as necessary; identify and propose enhancements to efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Transform quality, cost, continuous improvement, and process enhancement challenges into actionable manufacturing engineering objectives
  • Assemble a team to advise Design Engineering on design concepts and specification needs to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Investigate and develop innovative methodologies, propose new ideas, conduct research, and document findings
  • Identify and suggest new cost-saving initiatives
  • Supervise the creation of manufacturing product routings
  • Develop preliminary capacity models for manufacturing operations
  • Provide leadership in evaluating current processes, formulating, and executing plans that yield improvements in safety, quality, and cost through waste elimination
  • Guide the team in analyzing and pinpointing the root causes of process challenges and implementing lasting solutions
  • Assess process controls and capabilities, equipment layout, workflow, assembly techniques, and workforce utilization to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • Offer technical guidance to staff on complex issues, providing support that addresses process concerns in product development
  • Demonstrate the ability to facilitate and drive change in a dynamic and evolving environment, leveraging strong interpersonal skills. Success in this role hinges on the ability to collaborate across the organization at all levels, creating value and fostering buy-in as a key change agent supporting the company's transformation initiatives
  • Assist in planning and executing various transformation activities and projects aimed at enhancing operational performance and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Uphold employee safety and morale by fostering a secure and efficient working environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities encompass interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work tasks; evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing concerns and resolving issues.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field or equivalent manufacturing and/or engineering experience required. An advanced degree in Engineering is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, ideally in a process-oriented operations or related industry. A minimum of 3 years of management experience with a proven track record in personnel development and training, conflict resolution, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and expectation management, or 10+ years of experience in managing and enhancing manufacturing processes is required.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Certificates & Licenses:
Six Sigma Black Belt certification is advantageous.

Other Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of operational excellence principles, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma (preferred). Formal training in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is required. Strong overall business acumen and a background in process flow are essential. Excellent leadership and change management capabilities are crucial.
