Job SummaryThe Lead Dental Assistant provides critical support to our dentists and dental hygienists, ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supports dentists by assisting with instruments, seating patients, and preparing treatment rooms.
- Greets patients, takes vitals, and records patient information for dentist evaluation.
- Assists with dental procedures, including taking radiographs and gathering patient medical history.
- Documents patient information, including medical conditions, medications, and vital signs.
- Performs lab tasks, including denture and crown preparation, and ensures timely delivery of lab cases.
- Cleans and sterilizes dental instruments, and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Provides exceptional customer service, responding promptly to patient needs and concerns.
- Collaborates with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Registered Dental Assistant Lead certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, and willingness to assist at other sites as needed.
- Ability to manage projects and tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and patient needs.
