The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and individualized care to meet the unique needs of each resident.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfer, including use of wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in resident care planning and implementation, including development of individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an approved State Registered Nursing Assistant/Aide Program (SRNA) or equivalent.
- Current certification as a State Registered Nursing Aide (SRNA) in the State of Kentucky.
- Minimum of three months direct care experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
The Certified Nursing Assistant works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The role involves working with residents who may have complex medical needs and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
