Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Psychiatry is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychiatrist to join their faculty team. As a Clinical Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric care for a variety of patients in an inpatient environment, supervise and teach psychiatric residents, psychology interns, and medical students, and participate in department and medical school committees.

Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical care as a member of the Inpatient Psychiatry Team at UW Health University Hospital
  • Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows

Education:

Required:

  • Terminal Degree (MD or DO)

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • At least two years of clinical experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders

License/Certification:

Required:

  • MD - Physician - State Licensure (Must obtain a WI State Medical License by start date)
  • DO - Physician (Do) - State Licensure (Must obtain a WI State Medical License by start date)

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%

Salary:

Negotiable (ANNUAL)

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

This position has been identified as a position that will be located in or regularly access UW Health locations. This position will need to adhere to UW Health policies and affiliated requirements.

UW Health requires that anyone working in or regularly accessing UW Health locations receive the COVID-19 primary vaccination series and first booster.

This position will be required to adhere to that policy and if not in full compliance to have a plan for achieving full compliance within 40 days of the first day of employment.
