About the Role

River City Bank is seeking an experienced Agricultural Commercial Credit Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking department, you will be responsible for analyzing borrower financial information, conducting ongoing financial analysis and credit monitoring on transactions within our agricultural loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Transaction Risk Analysis: Analyze and articulate transaction risk and recommend loans for approval.
  2. Borrower Financial Analysis: Analyze borrower financial statements and tax returns for companies and individuals regarding net worth and cash flow and strengths/risks of loan repayment sources.
  3. Risk Identification: Identify and summarize risks related to third-party reports and collateral valuations.
  4. Credit Authorization: Prepare timely and concise formal written credit authorization with little supervision, ensuring complete and accurate information.
  5. Industry Trends Analysis: Analyze industry and commodity trends.
  6. Borrower Performance Monitoring: Monitor borrower financial performance in line with commercial loan documents; spreads financial statements ensuring resulting covenant calculations are accurate, complete, and adhere to approval conditions and loan documentation.
  7. Communication and Collaboration: Maintain close, professional communication with all bank departments, including Commercial Banking and Loan Center, and clients to ensure the timeliness of the renewal and new loan funding process.
  8. Loan Origination Support: Serve as the credit analyst for multiple loan transactions at a given time at varying stages of the loan origination process.
  9. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Support: Support CRA through business development efforts. Actively participate in community organizations.
  10. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • Minimum three years of experience in credit analysis within a banking/lending environment
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial statement, and cash flow analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to independently prioritize tasks and multi-task while completing complex transactions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to consistently interact with clients under varying circumstances, while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Effectively communicate with clients over the phone and in person
  • Proficient in computers with ability to use standard or specialized computer hardware and software packages, including word processing and spreadsheets in a Windows environment
