Job Summary

The Staff Services Manager I - Credit Manager is a critical role within the CA Housing Finance Agency, responsible for overseeing the comprehensive credit management and risk assessment of the agency's various financing and lending programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the credit quality of the lending portfolio and recommend strategies for loss mitigation in alignment with the agency's overall risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective credit management and risk assessment practices.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and agency guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on credit-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in credit management and risk assessment.
Working Conditions

The Staff Services Manager I - Credit Manager will work in a hybrid telework schedule, with occasional in-person attendance required. The agency is located in a high-rise building in downtown Sacramento, with access to public transportation and amenities.

Requirements
  • Be eligible for the competitive State civil service exam for the classification.
  • Have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or a comparable classification.
  • Be reinstatement eligible, having obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or a comparable classification.
