Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and operate roll stand and auto splicer efficiently
  • Log all rolls as required by Standard Operating Procedures
  • Return leftover stock to inventory according to S.O.P.
  • Maintain consistent viscosity and pH level of ink fountains when necessary
  • Maintain all glue levels as needed and monitor thickness of glue
  • Maintain continuous operations of label applicators
  • Assist in M/R operations, setting up printer and gluers, etc., as instructed by operator
  • Assist in wash-ups as instructed by operator
  • Assist in keeping line clean in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and as instructed by Line Operator
  • Understand and demonstrate ability to accurately track press counts
  • Follow line production to get necessary supplies for next job ready before press shuts down
  • Actively engage in Pregis apprenticeship program to ensure continuous improvement of self and company
  • Keep general area clean and free of debris and spills of any kind
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Five years of progressively responsible related experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture
  • Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with team and during shift transition
  • Promote positive teamwork culture
Work Environment:
