Procurement Agent Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Agent to join our team at PulteGroup, a leading residential builder in the United States. As a Procurement Agent, you will play a critical role in negotiating with suppliers and trade partners to secure the best possible prices and terms for our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with suppliers and trade partners to establish pricing, contract formulation, and supplier management conditions.
  • Manage supplier performance monitoring within the division, including cost, quality, productivity, and service.
  • Ensure compliance to agreements, scopes, and other contractual requirements.
  • Execute contract agreements consistent with sourcing guidelines.
  • Assist in resolving issues and conflicts related to Trade Partner activities.
  • Maintain all applicable databases used in developing cost and quantity estimates.
  • Verify estimates of costs and quantities of residential products using comparative and differential estimating techniques.
  • Measure and validate Trade Partner Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze Trade Partner data submissions and manage the impact of commodity fluctuations.
  • Communicate completed estimates to construction personnel, trade subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Complete necessary customer option estimates.
  • Collaborate with Zone Product, DCOs, CMs, FMs, PIMs, RPMs, and Sales teams.
  • Control trade category costs by utilizing zone tools and methodologies.
  • Responsible for assigned Project Tracker categories and rebate capture.
  • Follow Pulte business processes for supplier management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • ISCM accreditation preferred.
  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum 1 year.
  • Business acumen, including understanding the impact of purchasing costs on income statements, balance sheets, and cost structures.
  • Purchasing and supply chain experience.
  • Ability to negotiate in a cost-transparent environment.
  • Ability to develop and improve vendor partnerships.
  • Construction knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.
