Job Summary:

As a member of the surgical team at Providence Health & Services, the Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up equipment and supplies for each surgical case, including connecting monitoring lines and preparing infusion sets.
  • Operate common physiological monitors and apply specialized tests as needed.
  • Provide limited patient care as needed, including assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery.
  • Collaborate with anesthesia providers to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room or as an Anesthesia Technician.
  • Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
