  • Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load, and grade earth rock, gravel, and other materials.
  • Read grade stakes and work with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
  • Collaborate with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance to ensure the machine is in safe, proper working order.
  • Report to the foreman when equipment needs maintenance and repair.
  • Keep equipment clean and prepare it for transport when needed.
  • Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at the jobsite.
  • Follow the foreman's instructions closely.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with heavy equipment.
  • Previous experience in construction and operation of machinery.
  • Knowledge of aggregates and how to handle them.
  • Physically capable of doing manual work and lifting at least 75 lbs.
  • Wear proper PPE per company policy.
