Job Description

At Sherwin-Williams, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Service Representative to join our team. As a Sales and Service Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, including store associates, store management, and other district managers.
  • Continuously promote and represent the brand and product strengths to customers, highlighting competitive advantages and competitor weaknesses.
  • Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits, as well as gather and document competitor intelligence information.
  • Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales.
  • Ensure promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store.
  • Prepare Annual Growth Plan (AGP) for assigned stores in territory that meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Conduct product knowledge training sessions for current and newly hired store associates, including features, benefits, and selling skills.
  • Provide sales training to current and newly hired store associates.
  • Train store associates on equipment, such as tinting machines.
  • Respond to and resolve product/service/inventory issues at the store level.
  • Assist store associates with tinting/mixing paint as needed.
  • Review all products on shelf to ensure products are fully stocked and properly displayed.
  • Replace defected products.
  • Make sales calls to residential repainters, remodelers, property maintenance managers, and local home builders to increase pro-paint sales.
  • Maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip, and color card stock.
  • Order inventory of collateral to ensure inventory is stocked.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or other business-related field.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or merchandising preferred.
  • Ability to work independently preferred.
  • P&L/budget management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Technical/Skill Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to learn to operate the in-store tinting machines.
  • Must be able to operate an iPhone and computer.
  • Previous paint/coatings experience preferred.
Travel Requirements:
  • 50% or more of the time (may be less, depending on geographic region).
