Position Overview

As a Ground Beef Quality Assurance Technician I at JBS USA, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and safety. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with industry standards and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) among team members.
  • Engage with USDA representatives and provide necessary documentation upon request.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of records to verify accuracy and maintain accountability.
  • Assist QA management in data collection and investigations beyond routine technician duties.
  • Collaborate with production staff to monitor product specifications and address any discrepancies.
  • Develop solutions to challenges and work independently when required.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of food safety and quality protocols on the production floor, identifying and rectifying any issues.
  • Be prepared for extensive walking and standing in a cold or freezing environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Work Schedule: The typical shift lasts 8.5 hours or more, with a commitment of 6 days per week. Flexibility is essential as shifts may vary based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Physically capable of performing line work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Proven track record of good attendance.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
