Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our transport team. As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport.
- Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility transport.
- Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment.
- Contact receiving medical personnel, report observations, and follow directives.
- Inspect, maintain, and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients, and public.
- May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies.
Requirements
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Drivers License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
- One or more of the following: Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedic credentialed from the Michigan Emergency Medical Services, or Prehospital Trauma Life Support.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
