Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Rheumatology department as a Pediatric Nurse Specialist. This role will involve providing comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with various rheumatic conditions, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, and vasculitis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, educate patients and families on disease management, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric or rheumatology setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
