Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting excellent outcomes.

About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring at least one year of previous RN work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all facets of patient care, collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals, and managing complex cases in their clinical area.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver family-centered care guided by CHOP's Nursing Professional Practice Model.
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise patients' plans of care throughout their hospitalization.
  • Gather and analyze data to inform the care team and delegate tasks.
  • Promote excellent patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based practices, nursing standards, and safety procedures.
  • Identify and address safety concerns or ethical dilemmas with unit leadership.
  • Develop effective partnerships with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Adept at adopting healthcare technology and clinical practice changes in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • At least one (1) year RN experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Prior experience in pediatrics or area of specialty preferred.

About the Unit

Our 18-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is located within Children's Seashore House and provides comprehensive and interdisciplinary rehabilitation services to patients who have experienced an injury or illness affecting their ability to perform activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, or communication.
