Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Transport Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. **Salary:**
$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

**Job Responsibilities:**
  • Nursing Practice and Communication:
    Follows Nursing Process to deliver safe care: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinates patient transfers and referrals, including notification of transport teams, coordination of mode of transport, and decision-making regarding team compositions.
  • Works with bed management to coordinate bed assignments and admissions to the hospital.
  • Provides direct contact for referring staff and receiving staff at CHOP.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
At least one year of RN experience required; at least two years of Pediatric Critical Care or ED experience preferred;
at least six months of Charge nurse experience preferred.
Computer competency, including basic use of Microsoft Office, web browsing, intranet search, document access, use of shared network file space, and navigation of clinical communication systems.
Information literacy, information management literacy, and healthcare informatics competency.
Licenses and certifications include Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania), Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
