- Inspect and repair equipment, including playground equipment, fences, and irrigation systems
- Maintain landscaping, including lawns, shrubbery, and planted areas
- Prepare grounds and athletic fields for events and activities
- Utilize the maintenance work order system to prioritize and schedule work activities
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Perform general maintenance work, including roofing, welding, and carpentry
- Repair and maintain district vehicles and equipment
- Assist other maintenance personnel as needed
- Complete required training and certifications
- Procure equipment, supplies, and materials as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a specialized field
- Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability
- Certifications may be required for specific trades
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with some temperature extremes and hazardous conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull significant weights, and work in a variety of physical environments.
