Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Navarino Property Management. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties to ensure the community meets our high standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare vacant apartments for market-ready condition by performing repairs and improvements.
  • Perform routine community maintenance tasks, including light bulb changes, filter replacements, lock repairs, and minor HVAC repairs.
  • Respond to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Perform on-call emergency service as required.
  • Report maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Director/Supervisor.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling maintenance inventory and supplies.
  • Move heavy objects as requested.
  • Assist in special maintenance projects, such as preventative maintenance of building components and mechanicals.
  • Keep the grounds and common areas free of trash and debris.
  • Work closely with management and maintenance staff to develop a cohesive team.
  • Maintain open communication with property management.
  • Consistently maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with residents, coworkers, and the public.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Trade school and/or military training is a plus.
  • One to five years of verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in at least one major area of maintenance is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record and auto insurance is required.
  • EPA certification is preferred.
Physical and Visual Demands

This position requires inside and outside work in all types of weather. Medium to heavy work involves prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting to a maximum of 100 pounds. Good eye/hand coordination is essential. Color perception and the ability to lift and work heavy equipment are also required.
