Job Title: Registered Nurse Level III/Nurse Surveyor/Investigator

This position is a critical component of the State of New Mexico's healthcare system, responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of services provided to Medicaid waiver participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Quality Management Bureau (QMB) compliance surveys to ensure providers meet state and federal regulations.
  • Lead Medically Fragile surveys to assess the care and services provided to Medicaid waiver participants.
  • Investigate incidents involving injury, medication errors, or deaths, and assess health plan implementation for individuals receiving Medicaid waiver-funded services.
Requirements:
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure.
  • Three years of experience in a related field, with a focus on quality management, healthcare compliance, or investigation.
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License and Defensive Driving Course Certification.
Working Conditions:

This position requires extensive travel throughout New Mexico, including overnight stays, and involves working in office settings, community provider agencies, and out in the community during home and community site visits.
