Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answer telephone calls, scan member cards, and assist members and guests with questions and concerns.
  • Business Transactions: Complete transactions related to membership payments, programs, services, and childcare services.
  • Emergency Procedures: Understand and respond to emergency procedures, complete incident reports, and ensure the safety of members, guests, and staff.
  • Security: Provide security for the YMCA, observing and taking action regarding inappropriate activity within the building and surrounding areas.
  • Training and Development: Assist with the training and development of team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent service.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old
  • 1 year of customer service experience
Benefits
  • All employees receive a free YMCA membership
  • Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment
  • 12% Retirement Plan - The YMCA will automatically contribute an additional 12% of the eligible employee's monthly income into their YMCA Retirement Plan when the following requirements are met:
    • The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years
    • The employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods
    • The employee is 21 years of age or older
