POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mortgage Lending Consultant plays a vital role in assisting our esteemed clients in achieving their homeownership goals. This position involves engaging with clients to tailor lending solutions that align with their unique financial requirements, utilizing Fidelity Co-Operative Bank's C.A.R.E. Process.

Our consultants will originate first and second mortgage loans and facilitate mortgage and home equity line applications for the Bank, employing the LifeDesign Banking methodology to provide Clarity, enabling clients to proceed with Confidence. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated success in connecting with and supporting a diverse clientele within our communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

All colleagues at Fidelity Co-Operative Bank are dedicated to empowering our clients to make informed financial decisions through the LifeDesign Banking Approach. Our distinctive four-step C.A.R.E. process aids clients in achieving Clarity, allowing them to move forward with Confidence.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional client service in a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic manner to colleagues, clients, and the community.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy involving realtors, CPAs, attorneys, brokers, and personal referrals. Regularly visiting realtors and acting as a liaison between vendors and the Bank.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of all Bank loan products, services, policies, and procedures. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conducting interviews with applicants and processing mortgage applications. Being available for meetings at designated Banking Centers and gathering all necessary documentation and fees for efficient processing.
  • Communicating with vendors and applicants regarding the status of ongoing applications.
  • Keeping a weekly log of activities, including visits to real estate offices, broker meetings, applications processed, and other pertinent information.
  • Representing the Bank at Board of Realtor meetings and participating in mortgage programs and seminars to enhance the Bank's visibility in the real estate sector.
  • Collaboratively serving as a backup contact for other Mortgage Lending Consultants during their absence.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of four years of relevant mortgage lending or origination experience is required. Candidates should possess excellent sales, business development, organizational, and communication skills. The ability to learn and effectively utilize necessary technology and applications is essential. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours and travel extensively within the lending community is expected.
