About APPS Paramedical Services

We are the nation's leading provider of mobile life/disability insurance exam services, with over 100 offices across the country. Our reputation for high-quality work in a professional manner is unparalleled.

Our Work

When an individual purchases a life and/or disability insurance policy, a medical screening is often required. We work with insurance companies to complete these exams, ensuring a seamless process for all parties involved.

The Health Screening Process

As an independent contractor with APPS, you will conduct health screenings in various locations, including clients' homes, workplaces, or our offices. This may involve a short medical history questionnaire/interview, documenting medical history, and obtaining physical measurements. You will also collect blood and urine specimens, and occasionally perform EKGs.

Requirements
  • Pass a background check
  • Provide your own cell phone
  • Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • Hold a neat professional appearance
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
  • Be familiar with internet/computer skills
  • Demonstrate organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Possess the ability to record an accurate health history
  • Perform an EKG (training provided)
  • Draw blood (top-notch phlebotomy skills required)
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
  • Work independently and responsibly
Work Schedule and Compensation

As an independent contractor, you can set your own schedule. Your reimbursement check will depend on your willingness to work and the number of exams completed, with reimbursement periods ranging from the 1st through the 15th and the 16th through the last day of the month.
