Skanska USA is seeking a skilled Labor Relations Specialist to join our construction division. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for managing labor relations and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with construction trade unions.
- Serve as a liaison between company leaders and stakeholders, addressing questions, reviewing policies, and providing information on union-related topics.
- Act as a subject matter expert on contract disputes, employee grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
- Stay informed on relevant policies and practices to effectively resolve complex labor issues.
- Assist in developing strategies to address issues affecting union trade workers.
- Review and interpret contracts to support the dispute resolution process.
- Minimum of five years of experience in labor relations within the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in labor relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple employer collective bargaining agreements.
- Experience with grievance processes, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
