Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled ASAM Substance Abuse Assessor to join our team at EMS of Virginia (Educating, Mentoring, Success). As a key member of our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SA-IOP), you will play a crucial role in assessing clients and providing comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive ASAM assessments with clients in person or virtually
  • Document assessment results in our electronic health record system (Lauris)
  • Collaborate with our assessment and supervisory team to ensure seamless communication
  • Submit authorization requests to Medicaid MCOs and communicate with clients regarding the process

Requirements:

  • Licensed in the state of Virginia as an LPC or LCSW, or eligible for supervision toward licensure
  • Ability to complete 3-6 assessments per week, up to 20 hours per week
  • Flexibility to accommodate client needs and scheduling requests
