About the Role

The Bond Financial Reporting Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the supervision, operation, and control of the Bond Financial Reporting Unit within the Fiscal Management Division. This role involves planning, assigning, directing, reviewing, and evaluating the work of professional accounting staff related to day-to-day cash and debt management of the $4.393 billion DHCS Behavioral Health Treatment (BHT) General Obligation bond portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial reporting regulations and ensure the unit is compliant.
Requirements
  • Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) classification.
  • Experience in financial reporting and accounting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
