Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Vermeer Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including hoists, paint systems, machining centers, and weld systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and accurately record scheduled preventative maintenance procedures on equipment
  • Create a positive customer experience when working with operators, leaders, and peers
  • Accurately enter data into maintenance business system (Thrive)
  • Perform basic maintenance repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems with guidance as necessary
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in the basic trades (maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electrical systems) with minimum two years basic trades/manufacturing experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education/experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools, volt meters, read blueprints and electrical schematics, write intra-departmental communication, and apply concepts of basic math
  • Utilize trouble shooting and problem-solving techniques
  • Effectively communicate with managers, suppliers, and customers
  • Perform basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to successfully operate the computerized maintenance system
Work Environment

This is an onsite position, and the team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
