About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost of Care Analyst to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our Cost of Care and Provider Contracting organizations, you will play a critical role in providing analytical support to drive business decisions and improve the quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the contracting team to develop and maintain fee schedules related to our provider contracts.
  • Perform complex data analyses to identify strategies to control costs, including developing ROI models and healthcare cost analysis.
  • Work closely with Medical Directors, contract negotiators, and management to provide advice and analytic support on cost of care issues.
  • Identify cost of care savings opportunities by analyzing practice patterns and recommending policy changes and claims system changes.
  • Review results post-implementation to ensure projected cost savings are realized and recommend modifications as applicable.
  • Recommend standardized practices to optimize cost of care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with providers to educate them on contracting analytics and negotiate contracts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical, managed care payor, or provider environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model (remote and in-office) and travel to provider premises as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • High-level mastery of Excel and SQL coding.
  • Experience with SAS and Teradata.
