POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are in search of a Cost Analyst to evaluate project specifications and deliver precise cost assessments. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies and will be responsible for guiding junior team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examine proposal specifications and drawings to define project parameters
  • Perform detailed takeoffs of the project scope
  • Maintain meticulous records of estimation figures
  • Solicit and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Evaluate risk factors and provide insights on proposals
  • Participate in pre-bid and project transition meetings
  • Investigate value engineering alternatives for cost efficiency
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior analysts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical education
  • 8-10 years of experience in cost estimation
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Experience in the construction field is advantageous
  • Ability to effectively conceptualize project timelines and budgets
  • Expertise in estimation methodologies and cost management
  • Familiarity with computerized cost data systems
