Role Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Fluent Spanish Educator to join our team at Roxbury Prep. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will play a vital role in developing students who are proficient in Spanish and equipped with the skills to succeed in college and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Leadership: Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to design engaging lesson plans that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.
  • Cultivating Student Confidence: Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages students to take risks, express themselves freely, and build their confidence in speaking Spanish.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Develop and implement effective assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback that promotes improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or higher; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience teaching Spanish or other related subjects in urban schools.
  • Licensure/Certification: MA educator's license or passing score on MTELs required.
