Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise a field survey crew engaged in surveying for construction, as-built, control survey, boundary, tree, and right-of-way projects.
  • Assign and monitor field work, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Utilize GPS and conventional methods to gather field survey data, including setting up and operating electronic total stations, levels, scanners, collectors, and GPS equipment.
  • Interpret engineering plans and perform field surveying for urban lots, roadways, bridges, rural acreage, and flood control projects.
  • Set survey construction stakes, set property corner mounts, and locate or establish vertical and horizontal control points.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Crew Chief, preferably in Land Surveying/Civil Construction.
  • 5 years of experience in Land Surveying/Civil Construction.
  • Valid Florida driver's license required.
  • Proficiency with electronic survey equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • FDOT project experience preferred.
  • Experience with subsurface utility preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
